I think having a youtube channel alongside your blog is an awesome idea. It opens up so many extra doors.
If you have a niche maybe you can record that niche. Like you can play video games and have it hooked up to your site. You can vlog and blog. People will want to see both and be entertained by how much content you have.
You just have to make it quality. The thing about that is that you’ll get better over time. So, don’t worry about it too much right now! You’ll get there. Simultaneously having both of them opens up doors. Two communities put into one! Mix this all together with your social media accounts and you’ve got yourself a web for people. The amount of exposure that you’ll get will be quite a bit.
