I am always on the lookout for new technology to discover. While I may not be able to afford most of the cool products I find it’s still nice to drool.
A few days ago I stumbled upon TAP. TAP isn’t quite a normal keyboard.. or really a keyboard at all. It’s made to replace your normal keyboard and mouse. It connects to most Bluetooth devices like your phone, laptop, and tablet.
The way it works is by tapping your fingers to create different letters. You can also swipe your thumb to scroll. So, by pressing your middle and index finger down on a surface it would create a letter. They also are using it for virtual and augmented reality games.
You can completely control and type with one hand. Kind of reminds me of something Nintendo did…
Anywho this may sound like a difficult thing being so used to a keyboard and mouse. Good thing TAP comes with a downloadable app that they made to help teach people how to use it. It’s so simple they say it’s child-friendly.
It’s an awesome idea but for $179 I’d want to demo it before buying. What do you think? Right next step in technology or something that is a cool thought but isn’t going anywhere? I personally think it’s an amazing idea and hope it gets a cheaper price and more widely used.
